  I asked for my money back (or atleast part of it) as I had to spend a further $100 on a different room at midnight.

  The receptionist blankly said “No refunds” to me when I went back to talk to her about the problems we had.

  About an hour and a half later, my friend, heard a click. (After the last incident, we triple checked BOTH DOORS as we were already startled). She got up to check the door and it had been unlocked. The door that we had checked multiple times, unlocked. We are unsure as to how this happened and were incredibly worried therefore we left at 11pm. We drove 40km to Cootamundra to find a different place to spend the night.

  We checked in at 3pm at this motel. There were three of us, all teenage girls.

  On arrival, not all the beds were made up and the receptionist had to go and make it up for us. When we got into the room, there where not enough utensils (forks, knives, plates, cups). Later that night, we had 100% locked the doors (both of them). Yep of us had checked then as we already did not like the look of another guest in the motel, due to them having only a shovel and rope in their car whilst unpacking. We sat and watched Tv for about an hour when the back door SLAMMED open, knocking one of the beds. This startled us and we were sure it had been locked. We rang reception to see if this had happened before and if we could do anything to stop it. She reassured us, saying this was a SAFE motel and we could sleep with the doors open, it’s THAT SAFE. We then explained what we had seen, the other guest takingng out of his car and she told us that al the builder and trades people take their tools out of their cars due to robberies in the area. (note that she just told us how safe we were.)

  If you value your life, I would highly not recommend staying in this small motor inn. Not a place suitable for families.

  Close to town.....and one gets what one pays for. Having said that. ... absolutely nothing wrong with our room. Clean, hot shower, warm comfortable bed, air-conditioning worked and kettle /toaster etc Wonderful historic buildings all over town which you must see.

  On arrival, the room was heated for me and the television was on. At concierge the staff reception was warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble to make my stay pleasant. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Thank you to the staff for making my stay pleasant.

  We decided it MIGHT have been the wind (although it wasn’t windy) and decided to move the bed up a little so the door couldn’t be opened by wind.

  Worst experience! Would have rather slept with the kangaroos up the road , it would have been a much more pleasant experience.
